Correct Answer
The operating and/or SCPI command reference manuals may be accessed on ONT-5xx mainframes using any one of the following methods.
- Click the ONT-5xx User Manuals icon on the Linux desktop to open the local HTML file in Firefox. Select the MANUALS tab for operating manuals or the "REMOTE CONTROL REFERENCES" tab for SCPI command reference manuals. Select "Mainframe" or the module type tab as appropriate for the required manual(s). Note that the legacy (non-layered) module manuals are found under the "Other Modules" tab. Click on the link corresponding to the manual or layer you want to reference, and the PDF document will open.
- When operating ONT remotely over a network, open the ONT-5xx home web page (enter IP of ONT into URL field of browser). The PDF file can be saved to your PC at that point if desired.
- Connect to the ONT GUI, load the application for the measurement module if not already running, select the tab for the layer you require the manual (i.e. PHYS, OTN, etc.), select the Help tab under that layer, and click on the Show button next to the Operating Manual location or Command Reference Manual location to open the PDF document.
