There’s an easy way to replace one faulty HCU with a replacement one using the “Restore” button.
Procedure:
Remove the faulty HCU from the network
Put the same IP to the replacement HCU, and put the RPMs from the old unit on the new unit on the same slots
Power on the replacement unit and wait till the complete boot. (You can monitor it using the Hyperterminal) The boot finish with the message “HCU System is ready, software version X.X”
On the server clic on “Test Connection”and you should receive a response
Clic on Sync Real-Time Clock and you should receive a response with the confirmation
Clic on the Restore button and confirm it
After some time depending the number of HCUs your unit will be replaced on the Database. When the process finish, select the HCU on the Three and with right clic on Refresh
Now the new unit data will appear on the Properties tab
