ONT generates the 100GE SR4 FEC Loss of Alignment Marker Payload Sequence (LOAMPS) alarm by simultaneous generation of uncorrectable code word errors and an alignment marker sequence equivalent to the default sequence with the AM0 marker fields M0, M1, M2, M4, M5, M6 set to 0xAA (all lanes). The uncorrectable code word error forces a restart of the FEC synchronization FSM. The 0xAA AM0 markers keep the state machine from (re)synchronizing.
